🏪 Market Story
Bola sees a sign at the market: "5 oranges for ₦50." She wants to know: how much is one orange? ₦50 ÷ 5 = ₦10. One orange costs ₦10. Now she can compare prices at different stalls!
📝 Let's Learn
To find the price per item (unit price): Total price ÷ Number of items = Price per item.
This helps you compare deals and find the best price!
Example 1: 3 pens for ₦30. Price per pen: ₦30 ÷ 3 = ₦10.
Example 2: 4 exercise books for ₦80. Price per book: ₦80 ÷ 4 = ₦20.
Example 3: Chidi finds two deals on groundnuts. Deal A: 6 bags for ₦90 (₦90 ÷ 6 = ₦15 each). Deal B: 5 bags for ₦80 (₦80 ÷ 5 = ₦16 each). Deal A is cheaper per bag!
