🎯 What You'll Learn
You will learn to add hundreds, which is just like adding single digits but with extra zeros!
🏪 Market Story
Tunde's mother gives him ₦200 for transport and ₦300 for food. How much does Tunde have altogether? He thinks: "If 2 + 3 = 5, then ₦200 + ₦300 = ₦500!" Adding hundreds is just like adding small numbers.
📝 Let's Learn
Adding hundreds works the same way as adding ones, just with two extra zeros:
- 1 + 2 = 3, so ₦100 + ₦200 = ₦300
- 3 + 4 = 7, so ₦300 + ₦400 = ₦700
- 5 + 5 = 10, so ₦500 + ₦500 = ₦1,000
Example 1: ₦100 + ₦400 = ₦500. Think: 1 + 4 = 5, so it's 500.
Example 2: ₦200 + ₦600 = ₦800. Think: 2 + 6 = 8, so it's 800.
Example 3: ₦300 + ₦300 = ₦600. Think: double 3 = 6, so it's 600.

Adding hundreds is just like adding single digits — just add zeros at the end! If you know 3 + 4 = 7, you know ₦300 + ₦400 = ₦700.
