📚 New Concept
Sound substitution means swapping one sound for another to make a new word.
Change the first sound:
- map — change /m/ to /t/ = tap
- bin — change /b/ to /p/ = pin
- run — change /r/ to /s/ = sun
- hot — change /h/ to /d/ = dot
Change the last sound:
- cap — change /p/ to /t/ = cat
- man — change /n/ to /d/ = mad
- pig — change /g/ to /n/ = pin
Change the middle sound:
- cat — change /a/ to /u/ = cut
- big — change /i/ to /a/ = bag
- hot — change /o/ to /i/ = hit
