📚 The Story: The School Garden
The students at Bright Future Primary School in Ibadan wanted to grow a garden, but there was no money to buy seeds. This was the problem.
First, Funke had an idea. "Let us ask our families for seeds from their kitchens!" The children collected tomato seeds, pepper seeds, and watermelon seeds from home.
Next, Mr. Abiola, the science teacher, showed them how to prepare the soil. They dug, raked, and planted the seeds in neat rows. Because they watered the seeds every day, small green shoots appeared after two weeks.
Then, a big rainstorm came and washed away some of the plants. The children felt sad and disappointed. But Funke said, "Let us not give up. We can plant again!"
They replanted and built a small fence to protect the garden. Finally, after two months, the garden was full of tomatoes, peppers, and even a watermelon! The children felt proud and happy.
The main idea of this story is that hard work and not giving up can help you achieve great things.
